The Origin Line
I know what support can do because it changed my life.
I was born in Nigeria, spent years in a refugee camp, and came to the United States looking for stability, direction, and belonging.
There were moments when I knew hunger, homelessness, fear, and the weight of trying to move forward without knowing where support would come from.
But support showed up through people.
The Network That Changed Everything
What helped me was not one program.
It was not one heroic person.
It was a network.
Teachers, coaches, friends, mentors, and community members each played a role.
Together, they gave me what no one person could provide alone.
